Press Release
Mothers Against Methamphetamine

Woodstock, Cherokee County, Ga. September 24, 2004   More than 25 people were in attendance last night at the first monthly meeting of the Cherokee County Chapter of Mothers Against Methamphetamine. Sheriff Roger Garrison addressed the group about issues relating to the manufacturing, sale and distribution of the drug and the impact it has on our community. Additionally, he discussed the enforcement efforts his officers are using to combat the steadily increasing problems and the dangers this drug presents to the community. Sheriff Garrison appointed Deputy Sheriff Lana Henson as the Sheriff’s Office representative to enhance the communication efforts between the newly formed group and the Sheriff’s Office and to provide educational resources regarding the use of this very addictive drug.

If anyone would like further information of how to become actively involved are asked to call Lynn Linton 770-271-1005.
