Woodstock, Cherokee County, Ga. December 29, 2004 This afternoon, detectives from the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office arrested Kristi Conners, 36 years of age of Canton, Ga and charged her with eight counts of Forgery in the 1st degree and one count of Financial Account Transaction Fraud.
The Criminal Investigations Division received information from Conners’ former employer alleging Conners forged and cashed several checks for personal benefit. Detectives executed a search warrant at Conners residence and recovered items bought with some of the checks and enough evidence to arrest.
Conners is currently being held at the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center with a bond set at $42,783.00.
