Waleska, Cherokee County, Ga. January 1, 2005 At approximately 9:15 pm the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office responded to Lake Arrowhead regarding a domestic dispute. The female victim, who said she was assaulted by the suspect, gave information to the Sheriff’s Office that he is currently barricaded in the residence with a handgun.
The Cherokee County SWAT Team, the Negotiation Team, Criminal Investigation Division are currently on scene attempting to negotiate the suspect out of the residence.
