Woodstock, Cherokee County, Ga. January 31, 2005 On January 30, 2005, at approximately 9:00pm, The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office responded to 8122 Bells Ferry Road regarding a juvenile that had been shot.
Deputies received information that a fifteen-year-old juvenile male and his sixteen-year-old brother were visiting their friend’s residence. The 28-year-old living at the residence told deputies that he had taken the magazine out of a handgun and handed the fifteen-year-old juvenile the gun. The juvenile was playing with the gun, twirling it on his finger when it discharged. The juvenile was taken to Kennestone Hospital with serious injuries.
Sam Lambert, 28 years of age, Canton has been charged with Cruelty to Children in the 2nd degree. Lambert is being held at the Cherokee County Detention Center without a bond.
