Canton, Cherokee County, Ga. March 11, 2005 The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office has taken additional security measures at the Justice Center and heightened patrol car presence as a result of the tragic incident that occurred in the Atlanta Superior Court this morning.
The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office assisted the Cherokee County School Board in escorting approximately 200 children back in to the County that had been down in Atlanta on respective educational field trips. Sheriff Garrison has also taken extra precaution throughout the day by increasing patrol vehicles presence on the major highways located within the County to ensure the vehicle that Fulton County is attempting to locate is not in Cherokee County.
