Woodstock, Cherokee County, Ga. March 12, 2005 At approximately 8:00 pm the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office Traffic Enforcement Unit was dispatched to Interstate 575 at the Towne Lake Parkway exit regarding a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.
Information received by deputies during the preliminary investigation show indications that the pedestrian was walking illegal down Interstate 575 when he was struck by the vehicle. The identification of the pedestrian has not been identified and will be sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigations Crime Lab.
The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office Traffic Enforcement Unit is investigating the incident. No charges have been filed.
