Arrest in Fake Explosive Device

Canton, Cherokee County, Ga. March 17, 2005  On February 26, 2005, the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office responded to Cherokee Point Drive in reference to a suspicious device located in a mailbox at the residence. The device appeared to possibly be some type of explosive device. Cobb County Police Bomb Squad responded and x-rayed the device determining the device contained no explosive. As a result of the investigation one arrest was made. James Bruley, 19 years of age of Woodstock, Ga was arrested on March 16, 2005 and charged with Terroristic Threats and possession of a hoax device. Bruley is out of jail on a bond in the amount of $11,200.
