Waleska, Cherokee County, Ga. May 5, 2005 At approximately 8:00 pm the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office Traffic Enforcement Unit was dispatched to Highway 20 and Highway 108 regarding a serious injury crash.
A red Grand Prix was stopped at the intersection of Upper Sweetwater Trail and Highway 20 when the driver attempted to crossover Highway 20 and enter onto Highway 108. A van traveling westbound on Highway 20 crashed into the Grand Prix.
Terri Bush, 37 years of age of Canton, Ga received serious injuries and was air-ambulanced to Grady Memorial Hospital. The 15 year old and six year old juveniles sustained serious injury and were air-ambulanced to Scottish Rite Hospital.
The driver of the Van was medically treated and released on the scene of the crash.
The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office Traffic Enforcement Unit is investigating the crash.
