Recovery of Stolen Vehicle

Woodstock Cherokee County, Ga. May 12, 2005  On Wednesday, May l1, 2005, at approximately at 6:00 p.m. Cherokee County Dispatch informed Bells Ferry deputies there was a reported stolen vehicle out of Atlanta was being tracked by On-Star. On-Star was able to track the vehicle to the area of Bells Ferry and Eagle Drive. Deputies were able to locate the vehicle, a black 2005 Hummer SUV valued at $50,000, in the parking lot of the Wal-Mart.

Deputies impounded the vehicle and notified the Atlanta Police Department of the recovery.

The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office is working a joint investigation with the Atlanta Police Department.
