Canton, Cherokee County, Ga. June 6, 2005 At approximately 6:00 pm the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office Traffic Enforcement Unit responded to Interstate 575 southbound in between the exits of Howell Bridge Road and Airport Drive regarding a fatal car crash.
Preliminary investigation indicates the driver of a 24-year-old driver of a Honda improperly changed lanes crashing into a Ford F-150 driven by a 58-year-old male from Acworth. The driver of the F-150 died at the scene of the crash. The driver of the Honda received minor injuries and was ground transported to Northside Cherokee Hospital.
The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office Traffic Enforcement Unit is investigating the crash.
