Ball Ground, Cherokee County, Ga. June 9, 2005 On June 8, 2005, at approximately 6:00pm, a mother and her 14-year-old daughter entered the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office Ball Ground precinct to report an incident that had just occurred on Ball Ground Highway.
The mother of the juvenile informed deputies that she and her daughter were driving northbound on Ball Ground Highway when a projectile came through the vehicle’s open window and struck the 14-year-old juvenile in the left temple. The juvenile was ground transported to Scottish Rite Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
