Woodstock, Cherokee County, Ga. July 19, 2005 On July 12, 2005, Deputies from the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to Gregory Lane Apartments, located on Bells Ferry Road, regarding a body of a young black male found outside on the apartments. The victim died as a result of an apparent gunshot wound to the back of the head. The victim is identified as Rodney Antonio Rivers, 20 years of age, Austell, Ga.
The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit (VCU) along with the assistance of the Marietta Police Department made four arrests in the death investigation. Arrested are:
Jeffery Girard Harris, 22 years of age of Marietta, Ga. is charged with Armed Robbery and Felony Murder. Harris is currently being held at the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center without a bond.
Christopher Jamal Rosser, 20 years of age of Kennesaw, Ga. is charged with Armed Robbery and Felony Murder. Rosser is currently being held at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center of a Violation of Probation charge.
Mario McKinney, 17 years of age of Marietta, Ga is charged with Armed Robbery and Felony Murder. McKinney is currently being held at the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center without a bond.
Ira Keyno Ellis Hall, 18 years of age of Marietta, Ga is charged with Armed Robbery and Felony Murder. Hall is currently being held at the Cherokee County Adult Detention without a bond.
