Canton, Cherokee County, Ga. July 25, 2005 On July 23, at approximately 9:30 p.m. the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office Traffic Enforcement Unit responded to a serious injury motorcycle crash.
The driver of the motorcycle was traveling south on Highway 140 when the driver crashed into the guardrail at the intersection of Highway 140 and Batesville Road. The driver of the motorcycle, Dave Derry of Woodstock, Ga received serious injury and was air-ambulanced to Grady Memorial Hospital.
The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office Traffic Enforcement Unit is investigating the crash.
