Woodstock, Cherokee County, Ga. August 20, 2005 At approximately 3:30 am deputies from the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office responded to 2804 Andover Way regarding a gathering at the residence. Deputies received further information that a person was injured and was currently at the parking lot of Blockbuster located on Towne Lake Parkway and Eagle Drive.
The person injured, Jonathan Simpson, 19 years old of Woodstock, Ga, was taken to Kennestone Hospital where he later died. The Sheriff’s Office Violent Crime Unit is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and the subsequent death.
