Online Reports

Canton, Cherokee County, Ga. September 23, 2005  As of August 1, 2005, the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office is providing online access to obtain copies of reports for victims of reported crimes. There is no cost for the online reports which can be accessed by going to the Sheriff’s Office website at www.cherokeega-sheriff.com. Paper copies of the reports can still be obtained from the Sheriff’s Office Records Section located at 498 Chattin Drive. According to Sheriff Roger Garrison , “ new technology allows the Sheriff’s Office to assist victims in getting copies of reports from the convenience of their own home which saves time and money” Online access to accident reports is not available, but the agency is diligently working to have all reports available through the internet. Persons who are not the named victim will still need to file for copies of reports or investigation through the Georgia Opens Records request process.
