Canton, Cherokee County, Ga. September 30, 2005 Earlier this morning, the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Division arrested Robert Holcomb, 55 years of age of Woodstock, Ga. Holcombe is charged with 5 counts of Criminal Attempt to Commit Murder.
According to detectives, Holcomb attempted to murder his wife five separate times during the past eleven months. Holcomb tried to overdose his wife on at least two occasion, rigged the hot water heater to kill her with carbon monoxide and planned to beat her to death and make it look as though she accidentally fell to cover the attack.
Holcomb is currently being held at the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center without a bond.
