Canton, Cherokee County, Ga. April 24, 2006 At approximately 4:00 am today, the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office SWAT team executed an arrest warrant in the Alexander Ridge Apartment Complex in South Canton. The arrest warrants were connected to an Armed Robbery and Homicide, which occurred in the City of Marietta later last week. One male and three females were taken into custody after the SWAT Team made a dynamic entry into their apartment. Prior to making entry into the suspect’s apartment, approximately 11 other units were evacuated by members of the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team, Cherokee Sheriff's Office Uniform Patrol Division and the Canton Police Department.
All arrested persons were immediately taken to the City of Marietta for process and interviews.
