Canton, Cherokee County, Ga. April 25, 2006 In a continuing effort to maintain integrity and ensure the public’s trust in the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office, Sheriff Roger Garrison is again announcing the agency’s reporting procedures regarding commendations or allegations of misconduct.
Sheriff Garrison encourages citizens to report any incidents of misconduct by deputies or commend an employee of the Sheriff’s Office for exceptional job performance. Incidents of misconduct include inappropriate language or gestures, threats, harassment, and or illegal activity. Corrective measures include a verbal counseling, written reprimands, remedial training, suspension and termination. Complaints must be legitimate and not the result of a speeding ticket or valid arrest.
Complaints or commendation, should be reported to the employee’s supervisor or one of the following personnel:
