Canton, Cherokee County, Ga. May 22, 2006 An undercover drug sting nets 27 arrest Saturday by officers from the Cherokee Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad (CMANS), the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office, the Canton Police Department, the Holly Springs Police Department, and the assistance from the Alpharetta Police Department SWAT Team.
Responding to complaints of drug and alcohol sales in the area known as “The Cut,” which is located on Canton Street off Highway 140 just north of the Highway 5 intersection, undercover agents made several purchases of crack cocaine over the past several weeks. The investigation culminated with a tactical operation Saturday that involved approximately 65 law enforcement officers including both Cherokee Sheriff’s Office and Alpharetta Police Department’ SWAT Teams.
The tactical operation included three phases. The first phase included traffic stops of individuals suspected of buying drugs from street corner dealers. Officers from the Canton Police Department and the Sheriff’s Office made traffic stops that resulted in 9 arrests.
Phase Two of the operation was a planned tactical take down of street dealers utilizing SWAT personnel from two agencies and local narcotics agents. K-9 officers from the Holly Springs Police Department, the Canton Police Department and the Sheriff’s Office were part of the tactical operation.
Phase Three of the Operation placed undercover agents in “The Cut,” posing as drug dealers selling fake crack cocaine. Several people were arrested including two male subjects who had their children in the car with them while buying supposed drugs from undercover agents. Respective Federal agencies have been contacted regarding arrests made of illegal immigrants.

Jeffrey Adams, 48 years of age, Canton, Ga Charged with possession of Cocaine, possession of a knife during the commission of certain crimes.
William Jones, 55 years of age, Canton, Ga charged with possession of Cocaine.
Dominic Lugo, 17 years of age, Woodstock, Ga charged with possession of THC.
Sean Cardello, 20 years of age, Roswell, Ga was charged with possession of THC.
Antonio Turner, 19 years of age, Canton, Ga charged with conspiracy to distribute Crack Cocaine.
Nathan Phyfe, 28 years of age, Canton, Ga charged with sale of Crack Cocaine.
Teresa Foster, 44 years of age, Canton, Ga charged with possession of Cocaine.
Jonny Willis, 47 years of age, Canton, Ga charged with possession of marijuana less than an ounce.
Scott Dash, 33 years of age, Talking Rock, Ga charged with possession of marijuana less than an ounce.
Andrew Dash, 31 years of age, Jasper, Ga. Charged with possession of marijuana less than an ounce.
Dustin Moore, 19 years of age, Canton, Ga. Charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
Torry Butler, 19 years of age, Canton, Ga Charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute.
Timothy Wilkins, 20 years of age, Woodstock, Ga Charged with possession of Cocaine.
David Hardin, 18 years of age, Woodstock, Ga Charged with possession of Cocaine.
James Stephens, 70 years of age, Charged with sale of alcoholic beverages without a license, transaction of drug related objects, and sale of untaxed alcoholic beverages.
Joseph Kennedy, 31 years of age, Canton, Ga Arrested on a violation of probation out of Jefferson County, Oklahoma.
Byron Elrod, 20 years of age, Canton, Ga charged with multiple counts of sale of cocaine.
Troy Mooney, 30 years of age, Jasper, Ga charged with criminal attempt to purchase crack cocaine, 2 counts of possession of a schedule four controlled substance, possession of a schedule three controlled substance, possession of a schedule two controlled substance and two counts of child endangerment.
Clifford Davis, 28 years of age, Jasper, Ga Charged with criminal attempt to purchase crack cocaine.
Louis Sanchez, 24 years of age, Canton, Ga Charged with criminal attempt to purchase crack cocaine and marijuana.
Justo Ramirez, 26 years of age, Canton, Ga Charged with criminal attempt to purchase marijuana and crack cocaine.
Jairo Arroliga, 22 years of age, Canton, Ga Charged with criminal attempt to purchase crack cocaine and marijuana.
Timothy Johnson, 36 years of age, Canton, Ga Charged with multiple counts of sale of crack cocaine.
There was an additional arrest of a juvenile from Canton on related drug charges and an arrest of an adult from Canton on unrelated traffic charges.
