Criminal Damage to Vehicles

Woodstock, Cherokee County, Ga. June 5, 2006   On June 1, 2006 the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office received information from three drivers that their vehicles were shot at as they drove along Interstate 575 near the Dupree Road Bridge. Damage to the vehicles which included broken windshields appeared to have been caused by a high powered air rifle.

Information received June 2, 2006, led to the arrest of two male juvenile’s ages 13 and 14. The juveniles have been charged with five counts of Terroristic Acts and three counts of Criminal Damage to Property. Detectives also recovered a high powered – scoped air rifle. It is believed the two may be responsible for other incidents along 575 near Dupree Road. Anyone with additional information is asked to call Cherokee Sheriff’s Office Violent Crime Unit – Inv. K.L.
