Violation of Sex Offender Registry

 

Canton, Cherokee County, Ga,  June 22, 2006   The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office diligently enforces Sexual Offender Registry laws in the interest of protecting the public. Sexual offenders are required under Georgia law to register their residence and work address within 10 days of release or change of address. Failure to comply with this requirement is a felony violation. Detectives in the Criminal Investigation Division are currently seeking four sex offenders who are in violation of their registration.
