Canton, Cherokee County, Ga. August 2, 2006 It is back to school time and members of the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office encourage motorist to watch their speed in school zones and obey school bus stop signs. Traffic around schools is expected to be heavy and parents might consider using the school buses to take their children to and from school especially during the first week. Everyone is reminded that the Sheriff’s Office will be enforcing the speed limits in school zones this week. Sheriff Garrison says, "he wants every child to have a safe school year and the sheriff’s Office will do everything possible to make sure our kids are protected."
