Retired Major Bill Cline and Sheriff Garrison Elected to Serve as Chair and Vice-Chairman of the Peace Officers Annuity and Benefit Fund

Canton , Cherokee County , Ga. September 12, 2006 . At the September meeting for the Peace Officers Annuity and Benefit Fund, the Board of Directors Re-Elected Retired Major Bill Cline of Waleska, to serve as Chairman of the Board for the upcoming year. The Board also Elected Sheriff Roger Garrison to serve as Vice-Chairman, replacing Retired Police Chief Bobby Moody of Unadilla Georgia . Moody’s term expired in July.  

The Peace Officers Annuity and Benefit Fund is a supplemental defined benefit fund available to the states full time law enforcement officers. The fund currently manages approximately $400 million in assets. Cline and Garrison were appointed to the POAB Board by Governor Sonny Purdue.
