Cherokee Night Out Against Crime

Canton, Cherokee County, Ga. October 19, 2006 - Cherokee Focus and Drug Free Cherokee are hosting the Cherokee Freedom Anti-drug Summit and the Cherokee Night Out Against Crime. The events will be held at First Baptist Woodstock on Monday October 23, 2006. The Anti-Drug Summit will be held during the day. Chuck Wade, President of The Council on Alcohol and Drugs will be the keynote speaker. Breakout sessions will be taught by Phil Price, Special Agent in Charge of Regional Drug Enforcement for the GBI,on Drug Endangered Children; John New, Cherokee County Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad, Methamphetamine; Ken Howard, GBI and Troy Haas, HopeQuest Ministries, Empowered Awareness. That evening The Cherokee Night Out Against Crime will begin at 6:00pm. This is a Crime Prevention and Awareness event free for the community. Local Law Enforcement and Public Safety will be there to meet and greet the community. McGruff the Crime Dog will be there. Free food and children's activities will be available.
