Arrests in Drug Investigation

Canton, Cherokee County, Ga. November 13, 2006 - On Friday October 13 th at approximately 8:00 am, Agents with the Cherokee Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad (C.M.A.N.S.) and an under-cover agent with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (G.B.I.) conducted an undercover sting operation which netted at 1 pound Methamphetamine seizure. The pound of Methamphetamine was to be sold for $15,000.

The sting took place in the Home Depot parking lot located off of Riverstone Parkway in Canton . Three suspects were arrested on scene and charged with Felony Trafficking Methamphetamine.

Keith Anderson , W/M, 09-16-68, of Lilburn , GA

Duane Lee McPheeters , W/M, 02-19-88, of Loganville , GA

Nicholas James Moff , W/M, 08-28-88, of Snellville , GA

C.M.A.N.S. Agents also secured a Felony arrest warrant on Carrie Crawford (W/F, 08-13-73, of Gwinnett County ) for Conspiracy to Traffick Methamphetamine. The Gwinnett County Drug Task Force apprehended Crawford the following day and found her to be in possession of a Trafficking amount of Methamphetamine.

This investigation continued on Thursday November 9 th at approximately 5:00 pm, when members of the Cherokee Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad and an under-cover agent with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation ended a month long investigation with an undercover sting operation.

Four suspects arrested and charged the following suspects with Trafficking Methamphetamine.

Helen Elizabeth Boyd, W/F, 11-15-73, of Snellville , GA

William Ben Ammons , W/M, 03-22-66, of Norcross , GA

Michael Terrell Napier , B/M, 11-25-70, of Douglasville , GA

Marcus Alphonza Miles , B/M, 02-07-65, of Powder Springs, GA (also charged with Carrying a concealed weapon, and Possession of Firearm during the commission of a Felony) Mills is also currently out on bond through Dekalb County for Trafficking Methamphetamine.

These four suspects were responsible for delivering 2 pounds of Methamphetamine to Cherokee County on Highway 92 at Interstate 75. These two pounds hold a street value of $30,000.
