Canton, Cherokee County, Ga. November 13, 2006 - At approximately 12:30 p.m. the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office traffic Enforcement Unit responded to a serious injury vehicle crash located on Highway 140 at Laurels Ridge Apartments.
A white Chevy van crossed over the center line and hit a white Chevy pickup truck head on. The male driver of the van, Todd Hughes, 43 years of age of Waleska , Ga. received minor injures and was ground transported to Northside Cherokee Hospital . The driver and the passenger of the pickup truck, Floyd Rich and Michael Rich of Canton , Ga received serious injuries and were ground transported to Kennestone Hospital .
Charges are pending the outcome of the investigation being conducted by the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office Traffic Enforcement Unit.
