Canton, Cherokee County, Ga. June 1, 2007- Cherokee Sheriff's Office detectives are investigating a bank robbery that occurred this morning at the Habersham Bank in the Hickory Flat community. At approximately 10:23 am, an unknown white male entered the bank and presented the teller with a note that indicated he had a gun and demanded money. The man who is described as approximately 6 foot tall with dark hair and a beard, ran out of the bank before receiving any money. The man was wearing a dark sweatshirt with a hood and left driving a light green SUV with no tag.
