Canton, Cherokee County, Ga. July 6, 2007-Deputies with the Cherokee Sheriff's Office conducted four safety checkpoints during the week of the Fourth of July to identify driver license violations and to remove unlicensed drivers from the roadway.
The sheriff's office arrested 67 people at the checkpoints. Over the four day period, 54 citations were issued for license violations and 18 citations were issued for insurnace violations.
