Canton, Cherokee County, Ga. July 13, 2007-At approximately 8:30 pm on July 12, 2007, an armed robbery at 3957 Creekmore Street was reported to the Cherokee Sheriff's Office. Uniform deputies, K-9 officers, and the Violent Crime Unit responded to the scene. It is reported that two black males entered the home and stole a safe containing a large sum of money from the victim, 21 year old, Michael Classey. The suspects fled on foot to their vehicle, which was parked in the driveway. A third black male in the back seat of the vehicle reportedly threatened the victim by pointing a black handgun at his head, when the victim broke the driver's window and attempted to stop the suspects by placing the vehicle in the parked position. The vehicle collided with a mailbox and small tree at the end of the driveway, as it was backing out in an attempt to leave the scene. The three male suspects exited the vehicle and fled on foot towards Toonigh Road.
The suspects are described as three black males. One of the males is approximately 6'0" tall, 260 lbs and 20 years old. The other two black males are of a slender build, were neatly dressed in polo style shirts and denim jeans, and had six of their top teeth plated in gold. Both of these suspects are thought to be in their 20's as well. The suspect vehicle, which was left at the scene, is a 1996 Ford Explorer, white in color, and displays the license plate of AHB6742.
