Chamber Luncheon


Canton, Cherokee County, Ga. July 25, 2007-On July 25, 2007 Lt. Bert Love, with the Cherokee Sheriff's Office, spoke at a Chamber of Commerce luncheon in Canton. Lt. Love discussed the issue of identity theft with members of the Chamber, providing them with information on how to avoid becoming a victim of that growing type of criminal activity. Lt. Love has been employed with the Cherokee Sheriff's Office for over 16 years and has supervised the "White Collar" crime unit for 6 years.

The Cherokee Sheriff's office has become proactive in the battle against identity theft by providing brochures to local banks and citizens which explain how to prevent identity theft and what to do if you become a victim of it.
