Assault

Acworth, Cherokee County, Ga. August 22, 2007- An Acworth man has been arrested on sexual assault charges stemming from an incident that was reported on August 20th and occurred at the Kroger gas pumps on Hwy. 92 at Robin Rd. The victim reported that while standing in line to pay for gas, an unknown male later identified as Daniel Brown, 40 years of age, touched her in the back with his penis. According to the victim when she confronted the suspect he apologized, entered his vehicle, and then left the area. Security cameras captured some of the incident on videotape.

The Kroger employee recognized the suspect as a regular customer. The suspect returned to Kroger on August 22nd and a clerk called 911. The suspect was apprehended as he was leaving the store.

Brown has been charged with Sexual Battery, Simple Battery, and Public Indecency. He is currently in the Cherokee County Jail with a $2,035.00 bond.
