Woodstock, Cherokee County, Ga. October 16, 2007- Cherokee County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Woodstock teenager wanted for a rape that reportedly occurred in Savannah, Georgia. Michael Alexander Thigpen, 19 years old, was pulled over for an equipment violation early Saturday morning on Eagle Dr. A check with the Georgia Crime Information Center (GCIC) revealed that Thigpen had an outstanding arrest warrant from the Savannah Police Department for an alleged rape of a 16 year old girl earlier this year. Thigpen was taken into custody and is in the Cherokee County Jail waiting to be transported to the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office.
