Acworth, Cherokee County, Ga. October 22, 2007-Detectives with the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office Violent Crime Division have taken charges in the July 24th robbery of a Comfort Suites near Highway 92 and Interstate 75 in Acworth. Richard Perry, 37 years old of Decatur, has been charged with Armed Robbery. Perry is currently in the Dekalb County Jail after being charged by the Morrow Police Department for a hotel robbery in that jurisdiction. Perry is believed to be one of the two suspects involved in over 20 armed robberies of hotels in Metro Atlanta. The second suspect remains unidentified.
