Ball Ground , Cherokee County, Ga. December 6, 2007- Detectives with the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office have arrested a registered sex offender for molesting an 8 year old girl. Donny Long, 30 years old of Ball Ground, was arrested this afternoon. Long was convicted in Pickens County in 1998 for Enticing a Child for Indecent Purposes and is registered in Cherokee County as a sex offender. Long is currently on probation and is being held in the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center.
