Acworth, Cherokee County, Ga. December 7, 2007- Deputies with the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office responded to a serious injury accident yesterday at approximately 4:45 pm on Highway 92 at Northpoint Parkway in Acworth. The driver of one of the vehicles, Angela Meers, 32 years old of Acworth, was later pronounced dead at Kennestone Hospital. Preliminary indications are that Meers pulled her Chevrolet Cavalier into west bound traffic and was truck by another vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.

The Cherokee Sheriff Office Traffic Enforcement unit is investigating the accident. No charges are expected.
