Canton, Cherokee County, Ga. December 28, 2007- Detectives with the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office have charged 2 juveniles with at least 28 “break-ins” of cars in the Bridgemill subdivision of Canton. The thefts began in November and lasted through the month of December. Uniform Patrol deputies from the Bridgemill precinct have been working in conjunction with property crime detectives to solve the crimes. Information provided by Bridgemill residents also aided in the arrest of the 15 and 16 year olds who also live in the Bridgemill subdivision.

A handgun, several Ipods, jewelry, and other miscellaneous items have been recovered. Both juveniles, who were arrested yesterday, are being held at the Paulding County Youth Detention Center.
