Woodstock, Cherokee County, Ga. April 2, 2008- Deputies with the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office Traffic Enforcement Unit and H.E.A.T. Unit participated in the Operation Drive Smart Program at Etowah High School Wednesday. Operation Drive Smart is a program of the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety which focuses on reducing the number of deaths among teenage drivers. Deputies spoke to students about safe driving, driving under the influence, and speeding. Every student at Etowah participated in the event.
