Canton, Cherokee County, Ga. April 23, 2008- Detectives with the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office made an arrest Tuesday night in connection with Monday’s bomb threat of the Courthouse in downtown Canton. Christopher Sutton, 29 years old of Canton, was arrested and charged with Transmitting a False Public Alarm, Terroristic Threats, and Unlawful Conduct During a 911 call. Sutton was scheduled to appear in court Monday on charges of Aggravated Assault, Cruelty to Children, and Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm.

Sutton is being held in the Cherokee Adult Detention Center with a $11,680.00 bond and also has warrants in Douglas county and the city of Hiram.
