Canton, Cherokee County, Ga. May 13, 2008- Deputies with the Cherokee Sheriff’s office responded to a fatal accident Monday night at approximately 8:00pm near the 11000 block of East Cherokee Dr. in the Macedonia community. Joshua Cummings, 28 years old of Woodstock, was pronounced dead at the scene after his motorcycle collided with a logging truck. The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office Traffic Enforcement Unit is investigating the accident. Preliminary indications are that Cummings lost control of the motorcycle, crossed the double yellow line and struck the logging truck head on.
