Woodstock, Cherokee County, Ga. May 29, 2008- Deputies with the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office responded to a fatal accident this morning on Hickory Flat Highway at its intersection with Arnold Mill Road. Two large trees fell across the highway and were struck by two cars traveling east bound towards Fulton county. The driver of the first car which collided with the fallen trees was Gregory Jarrett, 24 years old of Woodstock. Mr. Jarrett was transported to Northside Cherokee Hospital where he died from his injuries. The second car which struck the trees was driven by Stacey Christensen, 36 years old of Ball Ground. Ms. Christensen was transported to North Fulton Hospital where she was treated and released for minor injuries. Hickory Flay Highway was shut down for approximately 4 hours.
