Cherokee Sheriff's Office
Entering Autos

Woodstock, Cherokee County, Ga. August 8, 2008- Investigators with the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office are seeking assistance from the public with a recent rash of car break-ins that have occurred in the southern portion of the county. Within the last month there have been 6 incidents in which suspects break out the windows of cars parked in public locations during the middle of the day. Once the windows are broken the suspects remove purses from the vehicles. The majority of break-ins have occurred in public parks or fitness centers while the victims are working out or playing with their children. The suspects then immediately go to local retail stores and attempt to purchase gift cards with the stolen credit and debit cards.

Investigators are currently looking for 2 black males, a black female and a white female. Detectives are confident these suspects are responsible for similar thefts in the City of Woodstock and Cobb County. A video of two of the suspects using stolen credit cards is available. If anyone recognizes the suspects they are urged to contact the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division at 770-928-0239.
