Canton, Cherokee County, Ga. September 26, 2008- Cherokee Sheriff’s Office detectives have taken additional charges against Matthew Gantz, the Cherokee High School teacher who was arrested last week for sexual assault against a student. A new victim has come forward and reported to detectives that she had a sexual relationship with Gantz in 2005 when she was still a student at the school. The new charges are 3 counts of Sexual Assault of a Person in Custody. Gantz is being held in the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center with a $60,000.00 bond.
