Canton, Cherokee County, Ga. March 19 2008- Cherokee Sheriff’s deputies responded to a head-on collision Wednesday morning on Knox Bridge Highway near Fields Chapel Rd. The 2 car accident which occurred just after 9:00 am claimed the life of a Cherokee county woman. Sandra McEuen, 58 years old of the Sutallee community, was the driver of one vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle, Thomas Babb, 62 years old of Canton, was transported by ambulance to Cartersville Medical Center and was listed in stable condition. According to witnesses at the scene, McEuen’s Ford Focus crossed the center line of the highway and collided with Babb’s Dodge pick-up. The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office Traffic Enforcement Unit is investigating the accident.
