Knitting Club Donates Bears

Woodstock, Cherokee County, Ga. March, 21 2008- Members of the North Georgia Knitting Guild (NGKG) donated 52 teddy bears to the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office Thursday night. The teddy bears, which are adorned with custom outfits knitted by members of the guild, are for children that are victims of crimes and for children that are affected by family violence. Lt. Kim Grant of the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division accepted the donation. The North Georgia Knitting Guild is a non-profit organization committed to fostering the art of knitting while giving back to the community in ways that are related to knitting.
