RESERVE UNIT'S ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office Reserves the Right to Change Any/All Requirements

All applicants to the Cherokee Sheriff's Office Reserve Unit undergo the same entry requirements as Full-Time Deputies. The overall 'hiring' process may take 3-4 months, depending on the number of applicants. Following is a breakdown of the hiring process, and a brief description of what each process entails:

Congratulations! Applicants who have made it through this thorough, regimented process are now members of the Cherokee County Sheriff's Reserve Unit. At this time, you will be assigned to an internal squad, and begin to receive training under the supervision of the Reserve Training Sergeant. Additionally, you can begin to participate in Reserve Unit activities. It is a requirement that all Reserve Deputies perform a minimum of 16 hours of service each month.
